A dimmer should be compatible with both the lighting load and the existing switch configuration. LED fixtures and bulbs can have specific dimming requirements, and incompatible combinations may cause flickering, limited adjustment, buzzing, or improper operation.
Before installation, we review the existing switch, accessible wiring, lighting type, and selected dimmer. The existing device is replaced with the compatible dimmer, controls are configured where applicable, and the lighting is tested through the available dimming range.
For smart dimmers or more complex multi-location switching, additional wiring and compatibility requirements may apply and are reviewed before the project proceeds.
