Replacing door hardware can improve both the appearance and operation of a door, but new handles and deadbolts still need to match the existing door preparation. Bore size, backset, door thickness, latch style, and strike alignment can affect whether the new hardware fits correctly.
We review the existing door and selected hardware before installation. The old components are removed as needed, the new latch, handle, lever, knob, or deadbolt is installed, and the strike area is checked for proper engagement.
If the new hardware requires different hole preparation or modifications to the door, that additional work is identified before proceeding.
