Outlets and switches can wear out, become loose, stop functioning correctly, or simply need to be updated. Different locations and devices may also require specific configurations, so the existing wiring and intended replacement should be reviewed before work begins.
For replacement projects, the existing device is removed and the accessible wiring and electrical box are inspected before the new outlet or switch is installed. The device is securely positioned, aligned with the wall plate, and tested for normal operation.
Projects involving relocation, new wiring, additional outlets, unusual wiring conditions, or other modifications may require a broader scope and are reviewed separately before additional work is performed.
