Smart locks combine mechanical door hardware with electronic controls, so both parts of the installation need to work correctly. Existing bore holes, door thickness, backset, latch alignment, and the condition of the door and frame can all affect the installation.
Before work begins, we review the selected lock and existing door preparation. The old lock is removed where applicable, the new latch and lock components are installed, and alignment is adjusted so the deadbolt or latch can move without unnecessary resistance.
After installation, mechanical and basic electronic operation are checked. Basic pairing or initial device setup can also be completed where applicable. New hole preparation or significant door modification can be reviewed separately if the existing door is not compatible.
