Replacing a door requires more than matching its approximate width and height. The existing frame, hinge locations, door thickness, swing direction, floor clearance, latch position, and selected hardware all affect how the new door will fit and operate.
Before installation, we review the replacement door and existing opening to determine the required scope. Depending on the project, the work may involve fitting the door to an existing frame, installing hinges and hardware, making alignment adjustments, and preparing the latch and strike locations.
After installation, the door is checked for consistent clearances, smooth movement, proper closing, and latch operation. Painting, extensive frame repair, or other finishing work can be included separately when required.
